The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Book Club meets once a month to discuss books having to do with the lived experiences of a diversity of people. We have primarily been focused on the lives and struggles of people of color but are also doing work with other marginalized peoples including LGBTQ+, people who are neuro diverse, and the poor.

The DEI book group will meet on Tuesday, June 18, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chalstrom House.   Our book for June, a combined DEI & Go Green selection, is The Weight of Nature:  How a Changing Climate Changes our Brains by Clayton Page Aldern.

We will begin our meeting with a wrap up of our May discussion of the biography and poetry of Phillis Wheatley.  All are invited to attend.

If you have an idea for a book we should read or have questions, contact our coordinator, Sara Wilson here.
